CASPER, Wyoming. - Colville tribal member Talliyah Timentwa helped Timentwa Relay to a second-place finish at this year's women’s Indian Relay Championship of Champions in Casper on Sunday (Sept. 22) afternoon.

Timentwa Jockey for Timentwa Relay led them to the championship last year and their first one back in 2019.

“It Didn’t end the way we wanted, but that’s relay," said Talliyah Timentwa, Jockey for Timentwa Relay. “My horses and team walked off the track, which is the biggest thing I ask for. This season, Alana took some hits and my mom Trisha got dragged a bit to give us the wins we got. My dad, the man behind the scenes, gives as much as any of us, keeping us honest and on our A-game. My iron 3-Solo, Cool, and Deuces gave me nothing but their all every time we stepped on the track."

"Win or lose, I put the money on my team always and I wouldn’t want it with no one else. We’ll be back next year no doubt.”
