The pearl is the traditional symbol for a 30th anniversary and the local Relay For Life theme will be “Pearls of Hope.”
The Relay will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025. Information and updates can be found at https://secure.acsevents.org/site/STR?pg=entry&fr_id=109886
Thirty years is a pretty good milestone, said June Hann, tri-chair of the Relay For Life of Franklin and Fulton Counties with Beth Goetz and Sue Mummert.
“It’s no small thing” that a Relay For Life has been held at the Greencastle-Antrim School District location for three decades, and Dr. Lura Hanks, superintendent, will say a few words at the opening ceremony, Hann said.
Organizers also want to commemorate the anniversary in the Relay booklet and with a display. They are looking for photos, memorabilia and input from “folks active since the get-go,” Hann said.
Anyone who has items or memories to share can contact Hann at 717-977-1145 or [email protected]
