LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced their weekly swimming award winners on Tuesday.

For the third week in a row, a member of the Golden Eagles men’s swimming and diving team earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week honors, with Dominic Cortopassi winning the award for Oct. 29. Cortopassi helped the Golden Eagles to another dual meet win on Friday evening, winning two individual events and helping two relay teams to victory in a 179-120 win over IUP at Tippin Natatorium.

Perhaps his most impressive individual win of the meet came in the 200 Free, where he took first place with a time of 1:42.19. Going neck-and-neck with the Crimson Hawks’ Luke Mikesell, Cortopassi executed a perfect turn to gain the edge on the last leg and touch the wall first. He also won the 100 Free, finishing in a time of 46.95. In the relay events, Cortopassi helped the 200 Medley Relay team open the meet with a victory, finishing with a time of 1:32.91, and he helped wrap the win on Friday as the anchor leg of the winning 400 Free Relay (3:09.47).

Clarion’s Hannah Greenway earned her first honors of the season, taking home the Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week award on Oct. 29.

Greenway won two individual events and contributed to a winning relay on Friday night, helping the Golden Eagles to a 184-112 dual meet win over IUP at Tippin Natatorium. The 2024 NCAA qualifier won her first individual event of the evening, pacing the field in the 50 Free with a time of 23.90. She followed up with a big swim in the 100 Fly, touching the wall in 57.86 and finishing more than two full seconds faster than IUP’s Katie Crosscut. She closed out her night by helping the 400 Free Relay team finish with a winning time of 3:39.93.
